Online Mobile Banking FAQs

If you want to enroll in Online Banking, we make the process easy.

If the login box on this page isn't working properly, you can access our Online Banking site directly.

Once you're enrolled in Online Banking, you can download our free app and take care of multiple tasks and transactions using your mobile device. iPhone users can download our app from iTunes, Android users from Google Play.

Ditch paper statements and switch to eStatements! You'll not only save trees, you'll also help prevent identity theft. With eStatements, there are no documents to lock up or shred.

How to Make a Mobile Deposit


First, download our app on your iPhone® or Android™ device. Then, log in. You'll key in the amount of the deposit, and take a picture of the front and back of the check. That's it! Within seconds of uploading the transaction, you'll receive a confirmation that the deposit was received successfully.

First, download our app on your iPhone® or Android™ device. If you are not already an Online Banking user, no worries - you can sign up right then and there. If you're already an old hand at this, simply click on the button within the app that says "deposit" and the system will walk you through the necessary steps. That's it! Within seconds of uploading the transaction, you'll receive a confirmation that the deposit was received successfully.

Checks payable to you and any joint owner(s) of your Education First account, as well as business checks, can be processed through Mobile Deposit. This includes personal, payroll, bank, certified and cashier's checks. All other checks must be deposited traditionally.

You can make up to 20 Mobile Deposits or up to $5,000 per day, or up to 200 Mobile Deposits a month, or up to $50,000.

We are working to process mobile deposits all day long. However, if a check is deposited after 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, it will be processed the following business day. Additionally, if a check is deposited on a Friday after 3 p.m. it will be processed the next business day

Yes. You can make Mobile Deposits on a weekend or holiday; however, they will not be processed until the following business day.

Mobile Deposits are subject to the same guidelines as checks deposited at an ATM, branch, or drive-thru. They are processed according to the same terms and conditions. For additional information, please view our Funds Availability Disclosure.

When using Mobile Deposit, you must endorse the check with your signature and include your account number.  Additionally, you will be prompted to write on the back of your check in the endorsement area:

  • For EFFCU Mobile Deposit Only OR to check the Mobile Deposit box that appears on the back of most checks and write "EFFCU" next to it

Please note that checks missing the above information will be declined for deposit.

Original checks should be stored for 30 days prior to being destroyed, or until you have received confirmation of the successful deposit.

Our Mobile Deposit software has built-in duplicate detection tools that identify checks already captured. If the software detects potential duplicate items, an alert will prompt you about the items in question. 

Yes. You can view recent deposit activity for up to 18 months. It will show if the item is processed, accepted or rejected. You can also view the check image.
