Sal Guerrero, CRPC®

Sal Guerrero, Vice-President of Wealth Management, joined Education First Financial Group in 2003. Sal grew up in southeast Texas, where he attended Monsignor Kelly High School and Lamar University. He has been in the financial services industry since 2001.
In 2008, Sal earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). Sal is an active community member, serving on the board of directors for the Beaumont Public Schools Foundation, Young Men’s Business League and Lumberton Education Foundation. He also volunteers with the Beaumont ISD ROAR Program, Nutrition and Services for Seniors, and at Lamar Institute of Technology, where he speaks to the students about budgeting and using credit wisely.
When not at work, Sal enjoys spending time with friends and family while playing golf and going on cruises. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children and one grandson. When asked what he likes most about his job, he shared “I am proud to be working at Education First Financial Group, helping members to develop a financial plan that works toward their goals for financial longevity.”

Art Perez is a lifetime resident of Beaumont, Texas. He is a South Park High School graduate who attended Lamar University. He is proud to have raised his family in the same city where he grew up. Art and his wife, Melissa, have been married for 30 years and have two adult children. Julian, their son, is a United States Naval Academy graduate (2021) Second Lieutenant Marine in flight school in Pensacola, Florida. Jayden, their daughter, is a student minister director at Grace Fellowship in Katy, Texas, and also works as a Radiologic Technician at Memorial Herman Katy.
Art has worked as a financial advisor since 2002 and joined the Wealth Management team at Education First in 2019. He is passionate about helping others work toward their financial goals and is thankful for the relationships he has developed with his clients over the years.
Art is an active member at Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont, a member of the Young Men’s Business League (YMBL), and a volunteer with Nutrition & Services for Seniors Meals on Wheels program.
In his free time, Art enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid runner and has completed 18 Houston Marathons! He also enjoys biking, playing golf, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Art is proud to live in the great State of Texas and to be part of the Education First Financial Group team.
Barbara LeBlanc is a proud Texan through and through. Born in Houston, she relocated to Beaumont with her family for their jobs in the petrochemical industry. In the following years, Barbara was blessed with the opportunity to live abroad, where she attended high school in Japan before returning to Beaumont.
After working in the insurance industry, she realized her passion for helping others develop a plan to solidify their financial footing and help them work towards their long-term goals.
In 2015, Barbara joined Education First Federal Credit Union as a Member Service Representative, and in 2019 decided to pursue her dream of becoming a financial professional. Currently the Administrative Coordinator for the Education First Financial Group, she is studying to complete her training with the mentorship of Sal Guerrero, VP of Wealth Management, Education First Financial Group.
During her free time, Barbara enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is an active member of the community, volunteering with The Arc of Greater Beaumont and Southeast Texas Food Bank. Barbara is also a member of the Sabine Chapter of Credit Union Young Professionals.
