You Deserve a (Spring) Break

While some of you are taking off to Disney or the beach, we know that many parents and kids will stay in Southeast Texas over spring break. So, we thought we’d create a daily guide for you and your kiddos with activities to keep you busy and entertained!

Monday, March 16th:

Kick off the spring break week with a free meal for kids. Tons of restaurants offer free kids’ meals with an adult purchase. The Beaumont CVB made a helpful list of local participating restaurants – check it out here.

Tuesday, March 17th:

We’re all about this movie deal. Every Tuesday, Tinseltown offers major discounts on movie tickets to Cinema Movie Rewards members. Don’t worry – joining is free, so you don’t have to worry about paying a membership fee. So, pick a movie for you and the kids and be sure to purchase tickets early – they sell fast!

Wednesday, March 18th:

Spindletop Gladys City/Boomtown Museum is offering a free event – Spring Break Fun: 60 Second Challenges. The event will include 60 second challenges throughout the museum for families to enjoy. Plus, it’s free!

Thursday, March 19th:

Let’s face it – you have to have at least one day to rest, right? Domino’s offers $5.99 specials for take out orders. So, get some pizza and enjoy a movie night in with your kids! Here’s seven cool ways to make family movie night even more fun.

Friday, March 20th:

Every 3rd Friday of the month, the Beaumont Children’s Museum has extended hours and holds a special event. This year, the Children’s Museum will be hosting a Carnival. Get all the details here!
While you’re in the downtown area, the Jefferson Theatre will be showing Disney’s Brave the evening of March 20th. Tickets are just $5 per person and worth every penny. If your kid has never seen a movie at the Jefferson Theatre, we highly recommend you take them to experience this movie night!

Saturday, March 21st:

If the weather is good, spend a day out at Gator Country with their Adventure Package for kids. Tickets include an educational show, hands-on experience, and wading with alligators! If you dare, get all the adventurous details here.

Sunday, March 22nd:

Let your kids explore their creative side at Painting with a Twist! They’ll be hosting a special session, Paint Your Pet for Kids, on Sunday, March 22nd! Be sure to read all the details ahead of time. We recommend calling to see if you can make advanced reservations as seating is limited.
As you can see, Southeast Texas will have lots of fun going on for those of you who stay home this spring break. We hope you have a fun-filled, semi-relaxing week with your kiddos!
