After Tropical Storm Imelda hit Southeast Texas, Education First FCU partnered with Beaumont Enterprise and 12News and created the Imelda Educators' Relief Fund. This fund allowed teachers whose classrooms were flooded by the storm to apply to receive supplies for their classrooms.
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to every single individual and business who donated!
The Imelda Educators' Relief Fund fund raised over $8,200 and has provided supplies to over 70 teachers!
Our first delivery of supplies took place on Wednesday, October 30, where we greeted by the administration and staff of LCM-CISD, Mauriceville Elementary and Mauriceville Middle Schools.
Deliveries will continue, with Hamshire-Fannett and Beaumont ISD to follow later this week and next.
We are honored to be a part of a such a generous community and will always be #409Strong!
