Keith Brenek

President & CEO

Mr. Brenek, a native Texan, earned his BBA in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University.   Keith has built a career in the financial services industry, starting as an auditor in 1984 for the Texas Credit Union League to CEO at Beacon Credit Union.  

In 2008 Keith joined Education First as Executive Vice-President, and in June 2015 he was named President & CEO.  In his spare time, Keith enjoys fishing and cheering on the Astros.
 

Kevin Conn

Executive Vice-President

Kevin Conn, Executive Vice-President, joined Education First in 2015. Originally from El Paso, Kevin received his B.S. from Park University in El Paso and has 17 years of experience in the credit union community.  He is a 2014 graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School and a member of the Executive Committee Council of Cornerstone Credit League.  He is also a current Board Member of the Sabine Area Chapter of Credit Unions and a 2017 graduate of Leadership Southeast Texas.  Kevin is married with one child, and in his spare time he enjoys playing the drums as a member of his church praise band, spending time with his family, and watching Disney Princess movies with his daughter.
 

Brandt Kuehne

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kuehne has been involved in the credit union movement for over 20 years.  He started his career as a teller and operations manager with CU Service Centers of Utah in 1997 and has worked for both Utah Central CU as the VP of Accounting and Information Technology as well as Jordan CU as the Chief Financial Officer before relocating to Texas to join Education First in 2018.  Brandt is a graduate of the University of Utah; where he earned both a BA in Accounting and an MBA. He is also a graduate of Western CUNA Management School.  He is married with three children; enjoys camping, snow skiing, golfing and spending time with his family during his down time.
